DVD Replication

At Swift Duplication we offer a competitively priced DVD replication service where the quality isn’t compromised and we make it a painless task for you, helping you every step of the way. Quantities for DVD Replication start at 500 and above although you find in the majority of cases the most economical run size is 1000 as there is very little difference in price between 500 and a 1000. The DVD replication process takes around 10-12 working days. If you require a smaller amount or the lead-time is too long for your requirement you could concider our DVD duplication service.

So what is the procedure for getting your DVDs replicated? The first consideration apart from getting a master disc to us is to decide on the type of packaging you require. This could be anything from a PVC wallet or a standard DVD case through to a DVD size digi-pak or even bespoke packaging. Once you have chosen what packaging you require you will need to create the artwork to the correct size and in the correct format, you can get the dimensions by downloading a template from our website.

Once the artwork has been created and we have the master DVD the factory will create a ‘glass master’ and then a metal stamper which physically contains the data on your disc in the form of pits and troughs. The DVDs are then formed with an injection moulding process where molten optical grade poly carbonate is forced into a press containing the metal stamper and the pits and troughs are formed in the plastic. There are a few other processes before the DVD is complete but we won’t go into that here if you would like to know more please go to the section marked what replication is.

Once the replicated DVD has been made it then goes off to be printed and packaged according to your specification.
